Stewed Chicken Soup with American Ginseng
Ingredients:
1 chicken (weight 2 2/3 lb)
1/2 ounce American Ginseng
5 ounces lean pork
2 slices ginger
5 cups of boiled water.
Instructions:
1. Wash chicken and lean pork. Allow to cook in boiling water for 5 mins. Dish up. Rinse and drain well.
2. Cut ginseng into thin slices and wash. Put chicken and lean pork into steaming bowl. Add ginger, ginseng and
boiled water. Cover. Then transfer to steaming pot. Double boil over high heat for 30 mins. Lower heat and double boil for
another 3 hours. Season with salt.
